Wet and Dry

What a mad world we live in! We build on floodplains and marvel at flooding. We fill in reservoirs and wonder where the water has gone. Here’s a hint – floodplains are so named for a reason. And, here’s another – water needs to be stored for when it is needed. If you build in an area known for flooding, you cannot blame climate change when the floods next come. Nor can you blame it when the stored water is too meagre to cope with demand (especially when you let thousands of gallons just flow away through unmended leaks year after year). Stop making excuses and start planning properly. If you cannot plan, you shouldn’t be in a position of power – it’s as simple as that!
